After seven days of fruitless searching, Ontario Provincial Police have called off their hunt for a man reported missing in the bush in northwestern Ontario.

A 68-year-old man was treated and released from hospital this weekend following an attack in Bell Park. Police say the man was walking on the boardwalk at around 5:30 am Saturday when he was attacked and robbed.

Greater Sudbury police are continuing their investigation of a pharmacy break-in late last week, where a number of different drugs were stolen. Police say the robbers gained entry to the pharmacy by prying open the front doors.

With the long weekend approaching, the Ontario Provincial Police are focusing their attention on aggressive and impaired drivers, seat belts, child car seats and fatigue on the province's roads and highways.

Members of the Joint Forces Drug Unit, consisting of Greater Sudbury Police, the Ontario Provincial Police and the RCMP, executed a search warrant at a Kingsway residence Tuesday, seizing thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs.

Just before 1 am Wednesday, Greater Sudbury Police responded to an attempted home invasion in Valley East. Two men with long barreled guns allegedly tried to gain entrance to a Deschesne Road residence.
