The Greater Sudbury Police Service are continuing the investigation into the murder of Brian Burns. Police have still not been able to locate the murder weapon. It is believed to have been discarded in the area of Gravel Dr.

Teen allegedly assaults ex-girlfriend

An intoxicated 16-year-old boy was arrested Oct. 11 after smashing a window at a Minnow Lake home. Further investigation revealed he had also assaulted his ex-girlfriend, who had broken up with him the day before.

Grader driver flees scene of accident

UPDATE: The driver of the grader has been identified as Randolph Stencill, 48. He was arrested on Oct. 15 in Pembroke, where he turned himself into police.

Impaired driver damages Lorne St. building

An impaired driver was charged after he struck and heavily damaged a building on Lorne St. at around Oct. 11. The three occupants of the vehicle were injured.

Man charged with public mischief

A 37-year-old man was arrested Oct. 13 for public mischief and theft under $5,000 after he phoned police and reported a robbery. Further information indicated that a male victim had been struck in the head and knocked unconscious.

Vehicles damaged on Riverside Drive

Police were called to the Riverside Drive area Oct. 11 after two men were observed damaging vehicles. The men were charged with mischief under $5,000. Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5.
