Sudbury OPP are reminding drivers to use extreme caution on Halloween night as all the excitement of going door to door can cause children to forget safety rules, said a news release. When driving in areas with children, slow down and watch for them.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in locating Alena Xeni, 14, from Parry Sound. Xeni has been missing since Oct. 10. She was last seen in Sudbury and is still believed to be in the area.

Two men were killed when their vehicle rolled over on Hwy. 17, just west of Markstay. They have been identified by police as Ronald Labre, 46, and Shane McLeod, 33, both from Hanmer.

A fatal motorcycle accident in Killarney left John Leslie Gill, 59, of Sarnia dead at the scene. Ontario Provincial Police responded to the accident at 7:30 pm on Oct. 21 on Hwy 637 in Killarney near the Bell Lake turnoff.

BY LAUREL MYERS More patrols and greater police visibility are at the top of the minds of residents of the City of Greater Sudbury, according to a survey conducted by the OraclePoll Research Limited for the city's police service.

Greater Sudbury police have arrested three individuals for their part in a robbery which took place on Oct.14 at approx. 10:45 pm.

BY LAUREL MYERS The Greater Sudbury Police Service is taking a step to increase the safety of their officers by installing blue lights in their vehicles in combination with the standard red lights.

Police were dispatched to a disturbance on Elm St. on Oct. 14. It is alleged that two of the accused approached two individuals on Elm St. at 12:30 am and asked for cigarettes.
