The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) will be expanding the public's “universal” knowledge, thanks to a $17.9-million investment by the provincial government.

BY GIANNI UBRIACO A week has gone by since more than 62 workers at the five branches in the Greater City of Sudbury area went on strike, but the group remains unified in their fight for higher wages and more benefits.

Theresa Sawyer of Hanmer was doing her normal opening routine at the store where she works with five other co-workers when she checked the group's tickets. She was surprised to see they had matched the last six numbers on ENCORE and won $100,000.

Effective immediately, Rainbow District School Board has banned the use of 15-passenger vans to transport students.
