RIDE check results in six charges

Greater Sudbury Police stopped 492 vehicles during a RIDE check held on Saturday, Nov. 7, in an attempt to detect and stop impaired drivers. Of the 492 vehicles stopped, 17 drivers were given roadside demands to provide breath samples.

One person is in hospital with serious injuries after motor vehicle collision at Montee Principale and Bonin Street near Azilda Nov. 8 at around 11 a.m. Two vehicles were in the ditch. Greater Sudbury Police investigators are still on scene.
