Spot checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police during the evening of Sept. 17 have resulted in several people facing charges related to drinking and driving.

Greater Sudbury Police and the Ontario Provincial Police found $56,000 worth of marijuana after conducting a search warrant at a residence on Dryden Road in Wahnapitae Sept. 18 at 8:30 a.m.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after four cars were involved in a chain reaction accident on The Kingsway near the McDonald's restaurant just after noon Sept. 15.

Three people suffered minor injuries after a head-on collision on Highway 144 in Dowling Sept. 14 at around 2:15 p.m. A northbound car crossed the centre turning lane and collided head-on with a southbound mini-van.
