Plain clothes police officers arrested two people after they observed a drug deal in the area of Errington Street in Chelmsford Sept. 1 at around 10:30 a.m. The drug deal involved a half pound of marijuana.

Three suspects found in possession of cocaine

A 20-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were all charged Sept. 1 with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking after police stopped their vehicle in the Minnow Lake area and found cocaine inside.

Grant will pay for infrared camera for investigating grow ops

Police kill bear near Felix Ricard school

Greater Sudbury Police killed a bear in the area of Felix Ricard Catholic Elementary School on Lasalle Boulevard Aug. 31 at around 7:45 p.m. The bear had reportedly forced a pedestrian to run into traffic in the area to avoid it.

Boy stabbed during fight in home

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after he got into a fight with a man Aug. 29. The fight, which took placed inside a Montague Street residence, was a verbal confrontation that turned into a physical fight.

Chelmsford spot checks result in several charges

Several charges stemmed from spot checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police in the Chelmsford area Aug. 28. One hundred sixty vehicles were stopped, and a roadside screening device used five times.
