Impaired drivers rear-end other vehicles
Greater Sudbury Police responded to two motor vehicle collisions Aug. 28 and 29 which involved impaired drivers. On Aug. 28, a vehicle on Notre Dame Avenue collided with the rear of a stopped car. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

A 24-year-old woman was caught by store security Aug. 29 at around 5:40 p.m. after she attempted to remove more than 30 products from Vrab's Independent Grocer on Regent Street. The products had a value of $200.

Possible drowning on lake near Capreol
Greater Sudbury Police are searching for a 21-year-old Sudbury man after he went out on a canoe on Parkin Lake north of Capreol and did not return. Police were called just after midnight Aug. 31 to search for the man, who may have drowned.
