A man is presumed drowned after his snowmobile went through the ice on Lake Penache, Truman Township, sometime between 10:30 pm and 11:15 pm on Feb. 29. Espanola OPP responded to the were advised of the incident at 12:30 am this morning.

Highway 69 reopened south of Pointe au Baril
Update - Highway 69 reopened at 3:05 am this morning. The OPP is advising all motorists that Hwy 69 is closed two kilometres south of Pointe au Baril due to a jack-knifed tractor trailer and subsequent fuel spill.
