A traffic stop in the Jean Street area of Greater Sudbury on Nov. 24 netted the Greater Sudbury police one of two fugitives of the week .

Sometime during the overnight hours of 23-24 Nov., an individual or individuals broke into the Hydro One facility on Hydro Road in Valley East and stole several rolls of copper wire.

UPDATED - Nov. 23, 3:43 p.m. Greater Sudbury Police are searching for two men who were allegedly involved in an assault which occurred in Copper Cliff Nov. 12 at around 3 a.m.

Three firearms were among items stolen from a truck which was left unattended after it ended up upside down in a ditch about 60 kilometres past Cartier on Highway 144 (near Marquette Lake) at around 8:45 p.m. Nov. 11.

At roughly 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to deal with a complaint about a vehicle in a ditch on Sunvalley Road. The complaint was called in by a resident of that street who believed the driver had been drinking, according to police.

On Nov. 20, at roughly 2 p.m., members of the community response unit were patrolling the area of LoEllen Secondary School on Loachs Road. Officers observed a young male driving a pick-up truck in a dangerous fashion.

Two men and a woman have been arrested and charged after Greater Sudbury police performed a prostitution sting. The two men, a 43-year-old from Massey and a 53-year-old from Cutler were arrested. A 27-year-old Greater Sudbury woman was also arrested.
