Police receive three bear calls

In the span of four hours on the evening of June 23, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service investigated three nuisance bear complaints. In one incident, a bear was walking behind Speedy Muffler on the Kingsway, toward the Apollo Restaurant.

Traffic delays at Regent and Bouchard

UPDATE: Two individuals were transported to hospital to have their injuries examined following the accident. The injuries suffered are described as serious but non-life-threatening. The incident is still under investigation.

A 23-year-old Valley East man is facing charges as a result of driving in a manner dangerous to the public. On June 22, Greater Sudbury Police observed a vehicle travelling at an extreme rate of speed and failing to obey stop signs.

A male driver is facing numerous charges after a motor vehicle collision June 22 at the intersection of Regent Street and Walford Road. A 23-year-old male driver hit a vehicle and then fled the scene. When his vehicle came to a stop, he fled on foot.
