Shoplifter flees store in stolen car

A female is in police custody after shoplifting at the New Sudbury Centre and dragging a security officer with a car, which was also reported stolen. Police arrived at the New Sudbury Centre on Saturday after Sears security noticed the shoplifter.

Spot checks lead to various charges

Greater Sudbury Police laid several charges after conducting spot checks during the evening of July 7. A total of 135 vehicles were stopped. Three of those drivers had allegedly been consuming alcohol.

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for a 40-year-old man who robbed the Clinicare Pharmacy on Lasalle Boulevard at gunpoint Tuesday evening. The man walked into the dispensary alone around 8:30pm demanding Oxycontin.

Victim robbed and punched behind Rainbow Centre

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed and punched a man in the head at the rear of the Rainbow Centre July 2 around 8 p.m. The suspects approached another man and asked him to empty his pockets.
