The Laurentian Lady Vees soccer team will look to continue their successful start to the 2009 season as they take on the Trent Excalibur Sept. 12.

The Sudbury Wolves have announced a partnership with a new road game broadcast partner for the upcoming season. Away games broadcasts will be moving to the FM dial at K95.

UPDATE: The Wolves lost Friday night's game against the Soo Greyhounds 5-3. The Sudbury Wolves will host their final pre-season home game tonight (Sept. 11) when the team host's the Soo Greyhounds at the Sudbury Arena. The game will start at 7:30 p.

The Kal Tire Junior Wolves dropped their first game of the regular season versus the Abitibi Eskimos by a score of 5-3.

The Sudbury Canadians U17 proved to be a handful for a number of Michigan U18 and U17 teams at the Michigan Kingdom Cup, held over the Labour Day weekend in Galesburg, MI.

Both the men's and women's soccer teams at Laurentian University played host to their northern rivals, the Nipissing Lakers, on Tuesday, and both teams sent the visitors home with a loss. The Laurentian Lady Vees defeated the Lakers,3-2.

Rock solid dedication, and a body rippled with muscular definition, has lifted Aleisha Hart to the professional ranks as a figure athlete — the first woman in Sudbury to do so.

Ten new faces have joined the line-up of the Kal Tire Jr. Wolves for the 2009-10 season.

The Kal Tire Jr. Wolves quest for another NOJHL championship begins tonight (Sept. 9) at the McLelland Arena in Copper Cliff against the Abitibi Eskimos. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
